Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Moldanubicum, metamorphic units. Active quarry exposing bodies of metaquartzites, quartzitic paragneisses and biotitic paragneisses with some interlayers of erlan and amphibolite. Metaquartzites contain hornblende and biotite.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moldanubicum - Metamorphic units in Moldanubicum
